To support those into the profession, Teach Portsmouth is hosting a new Love to Teach webinar on Wednesday 23 October 2024 (5pm - 5:45pm) on Zoom which is designed for those at the start of their teaching journey.

With applications for 2025/26 teacher training courses opening on 8 October 2024, now is a great time to explore your options, including school-based and university-based routes.

The city's education workforce came together to celebrate two decades of service at an awards ceremony held at Portsmouth Guildhall on Wednesday 26 June 2024. 87 people from primary, secondary and special schools were put forward by their peers to attend an afternoon tea and trophy giving in recognition of their achievements.

A 'dynamic duo' of schools hosted a special hamper giving ceremony in recognition of their staff going above and beyond for families. Cliffdale Primary Academy and Copner Primary Academy were chosen by sponsors to receive their hamper in person with council leaders also in attendance.
